The Nuts and Bolts of Emerson Ergonomics

The Nuts and Bolts of

 Emerson Ergonomics

Double Spring Wire Control Mechanism

The patented double pipe gas lift is the pride and joy of the Emerson Ergonomics chair.

Assembled with 92 components by 9 laborious steps, the mechanism can adjust to 15 seperate levels with with only a 2.2 degree difference in each tilting angle.

This is what allows the Emerson Ergonomic chairs to have the flowing and customisable recline. Giving you the smoothest recline on the market.

Korean Level IV Gas Lift

Every chair needs the right foundation to support the user.

Our foundation is our double pipe gas lift. The rod core is treated by a carburizing process and the pipe walls are more than 2.5 mm thick.

Developed in Korea the and rigourisly tested, we are confident to say this is the most sturdy and reliable chair base on the market.

High Grade Materials

All of the materials used to piece together an Emerson Ergonomics chair are world class and leading in the industry.

We use premium Korean Wintex mesh. It is made up of 3 layers of polyester fibre, dupont yarn allowing maximum durability and flexibility for the lifetime of your chair.

Our frames are made out of high strength aluminium alloy which is corrosion and oxidation resistant.

Product testing is the cornerstone of consistency and quality for our customers. We have numerous testing systems setup throughout the production line.
These include:
  • Seat structure strength testing for long term product durability.

  • UV age testing to simulate the affect of sunlight on raw materials.

  • Arm rest pressure testing for fatigue resistence during daily armrest use.

  • 5-star foot pressure test. A 1136kg load for 1 minute testing for safety and reliability.

  • Precision salt spray testing device to simulate possible corrosion.

  • Abrasion testing machine. Run through 100,000 times to ensure product longevity.

  • Rockwell hardness tester for key metal component.

Ergonomically Certified To Meet The Top Industry Standards

Our engineers work closely with the industries top quality assurance providers. Making sure that every iteration, every component and every chair meets the top industry standards.

If something ever falls short we go back to the lab and get it right so that you can get the highest quality product possible.

World Class Production Line

World Class Production Line

During manufacture, one of the most difficult things to do is maintain mechanical consistency. In order to combat this challenge we manufacture with a semi-automated assembly line. The model is based on the German automotive industry.  It gives our chairs and never before seen level of precision.

Also included in our manufacture line are the following systems:
  • Japanese noise detecting control for the quietest chairs on the market

  • German Veit Ironing system to ensure fabric smoothness.

  • Swiss weight sensor system to ensure product consistency.

  • US electronic fastening system for assembly accuracy.

  • Japanese strength detecting system to meet BIFMA strength standards.
